Letters From A Distance

Letters from a distance documents a communication initiative devised by healthcare workers in a public hospital in Mexico City to bridge the gap between COVID-19 patients and their families through letters. These letters eventually evolved into video messages or photographs, providing reassurance and reducing misinformation during the peak of the pandemic. The documentary also takes us through the lives of Mexican families who faced the most painful pandemic to date, amid challenging social, economic, and political contexts, driven by hope and love
